Texas Computers in Education Association Conference,
February 4-6, 2004 Austin, Texas
Cameron from Pleasanton Elementary shows a conference attendee how his
GenYES project helped his partner-teacher learn to use technology, and
provided the teacher with a technology-infused lesson at the same time.
GenYES students often come to conferences to explain what they are
doing with their teachers to improve student learning. The students love
telling about their experience and provide a unique look inside the Gen
Y program.
Sarah, also from Pleasonton Elementary in the San Antonio area, shows off her GenYES project and gets her picture taken by her proud principal.
Jeff, from Ingram Middle School, shows his GenYES project.
Ryan Powell (on left), was one of the first students to participate in
the GenYES program in Olympia, Washington. He currently lives in
Texas and stopped by to chat with Dennis Harper (on right).

Just Across the Creek...
There's no way we were going to leave Texas without sampling the local
barbeque. The food at Ironworks was amazing and we took home some dry
rub spices.
