GenYES Goals and FLAT Connections

Hi GenYES Facilitators,

As our GenYES family of schools moves into the second half of the 2017-18 school year, it is a good time to revisit your school’s GenYES goals. What kind of TAPs will you emphasize? How will you serve more teachers and staff? What curriculum units will your STLs complete? Remember we are here to assist you, so feel free to schedule a call or just phone us between 9:00 and 5:00 PMPacific time.

Our good friend Julie Lindsay from Australia has launched her new Flat Connections projects for 2018. These project are for students throughout the K-12 spectrum. These projects make great TAPs. Check them out.

TAP of the Week

In this week’s TAP, an STL from Veteran’s Memorial High School in Texas downloads an app for a teacher and ensures they know how it works.

Title: Creating and Filling in a Test Question Bank
TAP Description: Mrs. Stromer was looking for a voice recording app on her school iPad, though there was not one so one had to be downloaded from the appstore.
TAP Accomplishments: We searched on the iPad for any voice recording app and found none so eventually, we downloaded a simple one from the Appstore and made sure Mrs. Stromer understood how the app worked.
